1. INTRODUCTION
MyPost2 (“we,” “us,” “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the MyPost2 WordPress plugin and SaaS dashboard.
GDPR Compliance: MyPost2 does not collect or store personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary for service delivery. We do not track individual users through IP addresses or other persistent identifiers.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Account Information
- Email address (required for account creation and billing)
- First name or username (optional, for personalized dashboard interface)
- Timezone (for accurate analytics display)
- Domain URL(s) (WordPress sites connected to your account)
2.2 Email Communications
MyPost2 will send:
- Transactional emails (purchase confirmations, expiration warnings)
- Service announcements (downtime, updates)
- Marketing emails (opt-out available via unsubscribe link)
2.3 Analytics Data (Anonymized)
MyPost2 collects the following analytics data for content performance tracking:
- Country of origin (derived from IP address, then immediately converted to anonymous country ID)
- Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
- Browser type (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
- Referrer URL (source of traffic)
- UTM parameters (marketing campaign tracking)
- Social media platform (if applicable)
- Time on page (engagement metrics)
- Time of visit (to determine peak hours/days of the week)
Important: We do NOT store IP addresses. IP addresses are used only to determine country of origin, then immediately discarded. A temporary anonymous ID is assigned for counting unique visits within a 24-hour window, after which the ID is deleted.
2.4 Transaction Data
- Dart purchase history (date, amount, Ko-Fi transaction reference)
- Darts balance and usage records
- Service credit transactions
2.5 Technical Data
- Session cookies (for maintaining logged-in state)
- WordPress plugin version
- API request logs (for debugging and security)
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use collected information solely for:
- Account management (login, authentication, multi-domain support)
- Service delivery (creating shortlinks, posting to social platforms, analytics tracking)
- Billing (processing Dart purchases, transaction history)
- Customer support (responding to inquiries, troubleshooting issues)
- Service improvement (aggregate analytics, performance optimization)
We do NOT:
- Sell or rent your data to third parties
- Use your data for advertising or marketing beyond MyPost2 services
- Track you across other websites
- Share your data except as required by law
4. DATA STORAGE & RETENTION
4.1 Storage Location
All data is stored on secure servers hosted by Hostinger in Arizona, USA, with database encryption.
4.2 Retention Periods
- WordPress Plugin Analytics: 90 days, then automatically deleted
- SaaS Dashboard Analytics: Retained indefinitely while account is active
- Account Information: Retained until account deletion request
- Billing Transactions: Retained for 7 years (tax compliance)
- Anonymous Country IDs: Deleted after 24 hours
4.3 Data Security
MyPost2 implements industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/SSL)
- Secure database storage with access controls
- Regular security audits and updates
- Restricted access to personal information (employee authorization only)
While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
5.1 Payment Processing
MyPost2 uses Ko-Fi for payment processing. We do NOT store credit card information, banking details, or payment credentials. Ko-Fi’s privacy policy applies to all payment transactions: ko-fi.com/privacy
5.2 Social Media Platforms
When you use MyPost2 to post content to Bluesky, Mastodon, or Flipboard Social, those platforms’ privacy policies apply to the content you publish. We transmit only the content you explicitly choose to post.
5.3 Analytics & CDN
- Cloudflare CDN: May cache static assets (privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)
- No third-party analytics: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar tracking tools
6. COOKIES
MyPost2 uses essential cookies only:
- Session cookie: Maintains your logged-in state on dashboard.mypost.to
- CSRF token: Prevents security attacks
We do NOT use:
- Advertising cookies
- Third-party tracking cookies
- Social media cookies
You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent dashboard login functionality.
7. YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR & DATA PROTECTION)
You have the right to:
7.1 Access Your Data
Request a copy of all data we store about you by contacting mypost.to/support
7.2 Rectify Your Data
Update your email, first name, or timezone in dashboard settings at any time.
Contact Mypost.to/support for email change. First name and/or time zone can be changed from your dashboard settings option.
7.3 Delete Your Data
Request full account deletion by contacting mypost.to/support. Upon deletion:
- All account information is permanently removed within 30 days
- Analytics data is anonymized (cannot be linked back to you)
- Billing transactions retained for 7 years (legal requirement)
7.4 Data Portability
Request an export of your analytics data in CSV format via dashboard
7.5 Withdraw Consent
Stop using MyPost2 services and request account deletion at any time
8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
MyPost2 is not directed to individuals under 18. If we discover that a minor has provided personal information without parental consent, we will delete such information immediately.
9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
MyPost2 operates globally. By using our service, you consent to your data being processed on servers located in the United States and potentially other countries where our hosting providers operate. We ensure all data transfers comply with GDPR standards.
10. DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION
In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you via email within 72 hours of discovering the breach, as required by GDPR.
11. DO NOT TRACK SIGNALS
MyPost2 respects Do Not Track (DNT) browser settings. However, since we do not track users across websites, DNT settings do not affect our service functionality.
12. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via:
- Dashboard notification upon login
- Email to registered users (for significant changes)
Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
